How you see life depends on your worldview. Thanks to The Truth Project, Christians are returning to the truths of a biblical worldview.

According to The Truth Project, only about nine percent of Christians have a Biblical worldview, probably due to the influence of today’s culture. If you’re a Christian frustrated with cultural relativism and other changing values, then The Truth Project can bring you back to the basics of God’s truth found in His Word, the Bible.

What is the Truth Project?

The Truth Project is a set of 12 DVD-based lessons produced by Focus on the Family to counteract certain accepted truths in today’s culture. Designed for small groups, The Truth Project revolves around home study groups, seeing life from a biblical viewpoint rather than a worldview perspective. Taught by Dr. Del Tackett, the Truth Project is divided into 12 lessons, with each lesson showing how to live out the Biblical worldview in everyday life.

The series offers an extensive and orderly exposition of the biblical worldview and how it applies to today’s world. Dr. Del Tackett teaches in a college classroom setting, with brief clips from different Christian notables including R. C. Sproul, Ravi Zacharias and Os Guinness. Also included are a handful of diverse people of all ages, cultures and stations of life who answer age-old questions such as “What is evil?” and “What is truth?”

The Truth Project Lessons

Each of the 12 lessons focuses on a different subject and how biblical foundations relate to these subjects. Topics such as science, sociology, education, economics, history, politics, law and the media are examined. Each week’s topic studies the biblical worldview, with students shown how to reject worldview values while applying biblical truths in each area.

Each lesson points to the truth of God’s Word, warning of the dangers of believing the lies of the world. Dr. Tackett continues to caution how Satan feeds lies to people subtly and how they don’t realized they’re misled until they’re over their heads in deception.

Connecting to a Small Group

Training sites, scatted across the United States and other countries, have trained around 667,000 leaders. Once trained, hosts begin small groups in their homes showing the 12 CDs, besides leading discussion groups. Around 3734 home groups are in about 23 countries worldwide.

Importance of The Truth Project

The Truth Project fights secular humanism. For too long the body of Christ has let secularism dictate moral decisions. Rather than the church influencing the world, the world has influenced the church where there is no clear distinction between Christians and non-Christians.

Living in an age of postmodernism, relativism, political correctness and secular humanism, the church stands at a critical crossroads. As R.C. Sproul has said, The Truth Project may be the most important project ever undertaken by Focus on the Family, and Christians should take advantage of it.

Most importantly, The Truth Project reassures believers of the truth. Christians who are confused by the culture’s changing values should take part in The Truth Project. Even if they know what they believe, Christians need to stand ready to share the truth of a biblical worldview to a confused world looking for answers.
